Hi...When working on BPMN models, whenever i am replacing (not renaming) an existing Role to a New Role, I'm seeing additional entries under the Detail > Relations tab with previous role. Also when extracting reports through Queries Wizard, we are getting 2 entries for the same task with the Current and Previous Roles
It would be great if someone can guide me
- Why these are getting created, is there a way to stop it.
- Is there a way to tell ARIS to only show the extract with current role relationship to the task
- Any documentation in around this will be really helpful
Any guidance on this will be Truly Appriciated...Thanks

Hi,
When you place an object on the new lane, ARIS creates an invisible (implicit) connection with it. Technically, all connections have definitions, but you cannot delete them manually. To do this, you need to perform the Reorganization command for the DB (if you have the Enterprise edition, you can set it by schedule). The reorganization will delete all 'dead' objects (with zero occurrences) and connections.
For ARIS Cloud, the Reorganization is only available under Administration > DatabasesFor ARIS Enterpris,e you need ARIS Architect with the certain admin rights.

Hi Vipin,
it looks like being "Test task2" the same object (occurence copy) embedded in two different lanes with different names. So for sure object "Test task2" is linked to "Test Role Lane_1" and at the same time to lane "Test Role Lane_2" and this is shown in the relations and is a desired functionality. If you want to avoid this, you must use different objects (definition copy) in the repository and these should have ( it's not a must) different names.

Klemens
